Learn to Skate USA and Albany FSC Memberships

Memberships are valid from July 1 through June 30 each year. Be a member of the best skating program endorsed by U.S. Figure Skating, USA Hockey and US Speedskating. Receive a Welcome Packet in the mail, which includes a subscription to Learn To Skate USA® The Magazine. Receive secondary sport accident insurance. Participate in lessons, performances, competitions, and all activities associated with Learn to Skate USA® and Albany FSC club.

All skaters participating in Albany FSC Learn to Skate Basic Levels 1-6 and Adult programs must be currently registered with Learn to Skate USA in order to participate and skate on program ice.

U.S. Figure Skating and Albany FSC Memberships

Joining U.S. Figure Skating is a decision that opens a variety of doors as you choose how to pursue your personal skating journey. Whether you're chasing an international career with Team USA or going for the gold at local nonqualifying events, members have access to the tools, resources and programming necessary to develop their on-ice career in a way that makes sense for them. 
 
Only U.S. Figure Skating members are able to skate in sanctioned U.S. Figure Skating events, like the U.S. Figure Skating Championships.

Memberships run from July 1 through June 30 each year, but new members are welcome throughout the year.

Membership Types and Fees for 2023-2024

An Albany FSC and U.S. Figure Skating Membership entitles skaters to the following member benefits:

  • United States Figure Skating (USFS) membership, including:
    • Subscription to SKATING Magazine
    • Individual USFS membership card
    • Coverage under USFS sports accident insurance policy
  • The opportunity to represent Albany FSC at USFS sanctioned events including:
    • USFS Competitions
    • USFS qualifying events
    • Regional, sectional & national events
  • Participation in local USFS activities
  • Testing at USFS test sessions
  • The chance to purchase Albany FSC freestyle ice & clinics at reduced members-only rates

  • All Albany Figure Skating Club Memberships including both US Figure Skating and Learn To Skate USA membership registrations are non-refundable.
