CONGRATULATIONS
to sisters
Stephanie and Christina Lombardi who recently both passed their Gold Ice
Dance Tests. According to
the USFS, less than one percent of all skaters
ever pass the highest level tests. These skaters have now passed the
highest level tests in two skating disciplines: Moves in the Field and
Dance. In addition, Christina and Stephanie both skate on the Achilles
Edge Intermediate Synchronized Team, as well as competing individually
in Freestyle skating events. |
CONGRATULATIONS
to Olivia Serafini who won the Intermediate Ladies Final Free Skating
event at the 2009 Colonial Open Competition in Boxborough,
Massachusetts. Olivia placed third in the qualifying round but skated a
clean program in the finals, landing two double axels (one in
combination) and 5 other double jumps. This performance earned her a
personal best score of 52.14 and a first place finish. |
SENIOR
TESTS PASSED - Christina Lombardi passed
her Senior MIF test in March 2008; Ginny Mahoney passed her Adult Gold MIF in March 2008; and
Olivia Serafini passed her Senior MIF in August 2008. |
AFSC MEMBER
PASSES SENIOR MOVES IN THE FIELD
TEST
At
the Spring Ice Show on March 29th, AFSC Test Chair Paulette Morgan
presented Stephanie Lombardi with a certificate for
passing her Senior Moves in the Field test. Passing any USFS test represents
many hours of practice, hard work, and dedication. However, according to the
USFS, only one percent of all skaters ever pass a Senior level test. The Albany
FSC congratulates Stephanie on this significant achievement and is proud to
have her as a member. |
